Here are some links and resources we've
found useful during the planning of this trip.
ADVENTURE
MOTORCYCLING
http://www.adventure-motorcycling.com/
The site of the book Adventure Motorcycling Handbook by Chris
Scott.
Mostly focussed on Globe Riding, but plenty of regional information.
If planning any long trip, this book is a must!
VESPA T'nT
- VESPA TOURING AND TUNING
http://www.vespatnt.com/
A WIKI format site dedicated to all things Vespa and Long distance
travel, Derek & Paul from the Melbourne Scooter Connection
SCOOTER HELP
http://www.scooterhelp.com/
The original scooter maintenance site. It hasn't been updated in a
while, but still full of useful information on Vespa self sufficiency
HORIZONS
UNLIMITED
http://horizonsunlimited.com/
The site to go to when planning long trips. Again, a more Globe
Rider centric site, but plenty of relevant information, and the forums
are full of helpful travellers
AUSTRALIAN
SCOOTER COLLECTIVE
http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/australiansc/
The most active Australia wide scooter forum. Full of great people
to point you in the right direction when you need help, or even just
feel like a chat
ADVRIDER
http://www.advrider.com/forums/
Forum for adventure riders. Whilst predominantly focussed on Dual sport,
Enduro, and Trailbikes, there is a small Scooter section. Plenty of
other relevant information on riding gear, camping gear, etc
CANETOADS
SCOOTER CLUB
http://www.canetoadssc.org/
The site for our local scooter club. A great bunch of guys and gals who
have supported us from the beginning of this project. Any Brisbane
scooterists should hop online and find out when the next run is, and
come along! |
