These boots were made for ...

Ulls: Dragged myself out of bed early for a Saturday to get on the shopping train. Choo-Choo. Torsten and I headed out to Retro Scooters to talk to Paul about sorting out our final servicing and special parts fitting. Unfortunately he wasn't there. It's always a good idea to call in advance when travelling half way across town. We wanted to go to the new Anaconda store nearby anyway so all was not lost. Spent too much money there on a few odds and ends for the trip, containers, dry bags, compression sacks and a couple of micro-fleece type tops.
Off to Tyres For Bikes, where we grabbed a couple of tyres for the sandy sections up north, and after giving the whole spiel about the trip, they were generous enough to swing 6 ROK Straps our way for nothing. Back across town to Team Moto in Moorooka, where after much testing, trying and sizing, I decided on a pair of Oxtar boots. Very nice, not to garish or motorcrossy. Torsten has read a lot of great reviews about them, so fingers crossed. They gave us a nice discount after finding out about the trip and we promised to put a couple of stickers on the bikes. All in all, a productive day.
It's probably not the most exciting news, but hey, there's 3 months of that ahead.
