First sponsor

Ulls: Well, I'm glad to announce that one of the most important ingredients to our success has been sorted. My generous boss at Aztec Coffee Company, Jim George, has offered to pay the fuel bill if we can't find a fuel company to sponsor us. A very nice gesture, and I might say, one that needed to be made by someone soon. It really takes a load off our shoulders.

The Route

Ulls: Well, I've finished the initial route plan. I'm sure there will be plenty of changes however, in the coming weeks and months. We've included all the extremes in this first draft, whether we will make all of them I'm not sure. Byron in the east, Shark Bay in the west, Cape York in the north and South Cape in the south. All that's really left to do with it though is work out where to stay and how much we need to budget for the accomodation. We've decided camping is the only finnancially viable way to complete this trip, and even that gets pricey in some parts of the country. To get a good feel of the trip, I printed out 80 plus A4 pages and taped them to a wall at home. This made it easier to see where we wanted to go, and where we would go.

Approval from the charity

Ulls: We finally received approval from the Cure Cancer Australia Foundation to raise funds for them. Now we can get serious and start writing to potential sponsors about our trip.
